Tuscany Heights

Celebrating 10 Years of Tiger Traditions

Tuscany Heights Elementary

Tuscany Heights is the 168th Lighthouse School in the Nation as recognized by Stephen Covey. Through student leadership, we grow leaders that encompass a growth mindset and establish lifelong skills that will support our students as they grow into adults. Our mission is a living action statement that we use to guide Team Tuscany, as we do great things for all.

"We, THE Tigers, will be inspired to LEAD, HONOR, and EXCEL today!"

Bailey's Bulletin

Let's get together for Eat for a Cause! Let's synergize at MOD Pizza Tuesday, Feb. 25th. Can't make it at night? Maybe you can swing an earlier time during the day! Just present the flyer so that it counts toward Tuscany Heights! Thank you in advance!

This weekend, former Tuscany Heights Student, Marcus Bissen, will be working on an Eagle Scout Project that will benefit our students. He is installing a Gaga Ball Pit. Not only is he installing one as his Eagle Scout Project, but also PTA is funding a second one for Marcus to install. We are so grateful to Marcus, his mom, and our PTA. Our students will be thrilled to use this during their physical education time. Keep your eyes on our social media for pictures and kids in action once the project is complete.

Don't forget this year is Tuscany Heights Elementary's 10th Anniversary! We have enjoyed 10 years of Tiger Traditions at the Greatest School on Earth. We look forward to having you all help us celebrate this milestone on March 16th @5-6pm. Help us spread the date of this event with the community. We hope former families, students, and staff will join us in the celebration. Flyer is added below and will be on social media as well. Thank you for sharing it!

Thank you for sharing your children with us!

Proud Principal,

Tara Bailey

3rd Grade STEAM Project Based Learning

Third Grade STEAM Project

Third graders at Tuscany Heights are learning about weather and rapid changes to earth’s surface. The unit includes a visit from a meteorologist, learning how to research, presenting projects and some are even building models. We have expanded this unit to incorporate it into the school’s STEAM initiative.

This year, we will once again participate in the United Way Shoebox Project. During many of these rapid weather changes, families must leave their home and some lose their possessions. We are asking third graders to bring in a standard size shoebox for this project. Shoeboxes can be filled with personal care items to donate to the United Way for distribution to these families. While third grade is leading this project, we are asking all Tuscany Heights families to participate with donations. Items that may be donated include:

· Adhesive Bandages

· Baby wipes

· Shampoo

· Conditioner

· Deodorant

· Hair Comb/Brush

· Soap/Body Wash

· Hand Sanitizer

· Toothbrush and Toothpaste

· Lotion

We would like to have all shoeboxes and donations sent to school by February 28th. Thank you for your support!
