Summary
The Iditarod dogsled race is here and the Junior Action News Team is flying to report it. When the plane suddenly crashes in a lake and they are stranded in the Alaskan Wilderness. After the the plane crashes some want to to stay put and some want to search for help. Will they find help? Will they even survive?
The theme of the story is Perseverance.
The conflict in this story is Man vs Nature.
The conflict in this story is Man vs Nature because the plane they are flying in crashes. They are left to survive with only the things in the plane. It makes it harder because the plane crashed in the Alaskan Wilderness.

Titus
Titus was a leader, he was in charge of the group that back and made camp. Brave, shows leadership, and crafty.
Seldon
He told Titus to hang the food so the bears wouldn't get it. That was a good idea because the bears would have ate it. Smart, Creative, and Reliable.

Symbolism
The symbolism of the story is the dog Buford. Buford is the mascot of the Junior Action News Team.
