News From Our 5th Grade Classroom 5/30/16
What's Happening in the Classroom
As the end of the school year approaches, I'd like to start collecting novels from the classroom. If you know that your child has any books from school, please have him or her return them so that future students can enjoy them. Thank you! :)
Thursday is Field Day! Our class color is green, so please have your child wear something green. :) If your child would like to bring a water bottle, they may (they'll have to be responsible for it during the day). Please also remember to have your child wear sunscreen and bug spray. It's one of my favorite days of the school year- it'll be a blast!
Today, Friday, May 26, your child will bring home a note from Mrs. Estridge and Miss Erler that is the fifth grade "summer packet." We hope that your child continues to read and practice math facts during the summer to be ready for sixth grade in the fall.
It has truly been a pleasure to work with your children. I know great things are to come for them. I'm sure I'll see some of you over the summer :)
We will take our last reading test on Tuesday morning over Benchmark Unit 10.
Your child will take his or her last STAR reading test early next week as well.
Your child will take his or her last STAR math test early next week!
We'll present our "Teach the Teacher" projects during the week.
