Guidelines for Programs and Teacher Effectiveness
Workshop Description
This professional learning opportunity has been designed specifically for administrators who oversee world language programs and who evaluate world language teachers. In this workshop administrators will receive an overview of the components needed for a quality world language program. Additionally, participants will become familiar with criteria to consider when evaluating world languages instruction. As a result of this workshop, participants will become familiar with:
- world language standards, proficiency guidelines and others documents as they relate to creating curriculum, developing lesson plans, and assessing progress
- best practices in teaching and learning world languages
- the six domains of teacher effectiveness for world languages
- resources for world language teachers and evaluators
This is a half-day workshop being offered as an AM or PM session. There is NO CHARGE to register for Oakland County administrators. Space is limited so please register soon!
