Nominations Open for Teacher of the Year
If you've ever thought "Oh I should nominate (insert name) for LSR7 Teacher of the Year," this is the time!!!
Nominations are now open for the 2021 Excellence In Teaching/Teacher of the Year awards and are due January 31, 2021. We hope you'll consider taking time to nominate a deserving teacher!
Each year our school district, in conjunction with the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce, recognizes twelve Excellence in Teaching Award recipients, up to three Teachers of Distinction, and selects a Teacher of the Year.
For more information about Excellence In Teaching, Teacher of the Year, lists of former recipients, and information about frequently asked questions, please visit the Excellence In Teaching/Teacher of the Year website, where you can also watch this year's Teacher of the Year, Matthew Ketteman, in action!

SMART CLUB’S 3-MIDDLE SCHOOL VIRTUAL MEETING~ 1/13/21
Hey Falcons! Join us for the 3rd, 3-Middle School Virtual SMART Club meeting!! You’ve asked…."What is the Falcon SMART Club Virtual Meeting all about?”...and we’ve answered. Our Middle School SMART clubs provide activities and information that promote staying drug, alcohol and tobacco free. Join us for fun, prizes and a super guest speaker on Wednesday, January 13th, from 2:30-3:00PM. Our speaker, Officer Geno, will interact with us on the topic of the dangers of marijuana. All LSR7 middle schoolers are welcome (you don't need to be a member), so this is a great way to meet new people and have fun at the same time!!!
“How do I join?”, you ask…... You can either email Ms. Lange at, renee.lange@lsr7.net and she will send you the Google Meet code, or you can let your homeroom teacher know that you are interested and he or she will forward your name to Ms. Lange, who will then send you the code.
