End of 2nd Quarter

Semester one will come to an end on Thursday, January 21. Until then, students are encouraged to continue working hard to finish the semester strong. A reminder that, as a general rule, teachers have been accepting work up to one week past the original due date. When circumstances permit, late work or revisions must be submitted to teachers by Thursday, January 14. Work assigned after January 14 may be turned in up until January 21.

Exciting News!

For your convenience, the SLMS office will be open LATE on WEDNESDAYS until 6:00 pm. This will allow extra time to pick up student materials and assignments. If you are unsure if your student has items to pick up, email LeAnn Branson, Building Clerk at leann.branson@lsr7.net or call the front office 986-1375.

Nominations are now open for the 2021 Excellence In Teaching/Teacher of the Year awards and are due January 31, 2021. We hope you'll consider taking time to nominate a deserving teacher!

Each year our school district, in conjunction with the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce, recognizes twelve Excellence in Teaching Award recipients, up to three Teachers of Distinction, and selects a Teacher of the Year.
