Morning Drop Off Reminder!

Parents / Guardians,

Teachers and staff are not on duty until 7:15. If your child comes to school via car:

  • the student should remain in the car until the 7:15 bell. Please do not allow your child to stand at the front do without a parent. Students need to be monitored!
  • the parent / guardian should not leave the child before the 7:15 bell.

Allowing students to stand at the doors without supervision presents opportunities for conflict, games of chase, injury, unkind words, etc. Thank you for your cooperation!

Upcoming Family Night for our ESL and Bilingual Families!

Bilingual and ESL students will be coming home with an invitation for the Loteria! Please return the invitation and RSVP by February 3.

Lost & Found

Our Lost & Found collection is enormous! It's filled with jackets, hoodies, mittens, and water bottles. When we find a lost item that is labeled with a name, finding the owner is easy! Most of our Lost & Found items are nameless!

If you think your student misplaced his/her coat at school, have him check our Lost & Found.

The Lost & Found items are in our foyer and will remain there on the day of our Valentine parties. If you plan to attend, be sure to look through it!

Unclaimed items will be donated on the week of Spring Break.

Celebrating 100 Days of School!

February 7th is our 100th day of school! Kindergarten students will be treating our campus to 100 Day Parade on February 7th. Kindergarten parents, watch for a note from your child's teacher with celebration details!

Valentine Parties

Valentine class parties will be held on Friday, February 10th. Look for a party letter sent home from your child's teacher. It will include an attached event ticket. Parents who arrive to campus without an event ticket will need to check in at the office with photo ID which is a much slower process.

Special deliveries such as flowers, balloons, cookie bouquets, etc are are a real challenge for our little PreK - 2nd grade hands in addition to carrying their backpacks, jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc. Please do not send special deliveries to school as we are not able to accept them.

ADA - STRIVE for 95, but 98 is GRRRRRRREAT!

Big picture

ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance. Average Daily Attendance is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. Check out SGE's ADA trends in the chart above.

We're going to "STRIVE FOR 95!" while also knowing that "98 IS Great!" We recognize that illnesses and events take place that necesitate absences, however, we do encourage every student to be in school every day he/she is able. Let's work for 98%!
