I-READY: NEW YEAR - NEW PATH
Congratulations to the Mulready Ohana for meeting and surpassing their goal of 1,000 passed My Path Lessons in the month of January! On Friday January 16th the goal was met! And as of Friday January 27th, we had over 1,500 passed lessons!
For this amazing feat and proving that Mulready Cougars can demonstrate their perseverance, the students have earned Pajama Day on Friday February 2nd!
What is My Path? The My Path is based on your students most recent diagnostic test (this was given in late September and late December). All students are assigned lessons in My Path which helps with previous years math content that they are not proficient with, and/or it will push your student to learn past where they are at.
OFFICER CHAD VISITS AS PART OF OCON UNIT
Officer Chad Crogan visited the Mulready School 3rd grade as part of their Social Studies OCON (One Community One Nation) unit. The unit is called Changemakers. It is about people who have made a difference in the world and in our community. Officer Chad represented the community of Hudson. The teachers wove their biography unit into this unit and read about Malala Yousafzai and Martin Luther King, Jr. They will continue to study other people in town and around the world who are change makers.
MRS. TEKUT'S CLASS BUILT A TALL, STEADY TOWER DURING MAKERSPACE!
FRIDAY SCIENTIST
In Mrs. Regh's laboratory, a boy tested to see the interaction between oil and water. Could they possibly mix together? The hypothesis of our scientist was that all the colors would mix together. He prepared a beaker of mineral oil and had little cups of water. In those cups he mixed in food coloring. Then, he took a dropper and released oil into the water. The oil formed balls in the water. This showed that oil and water do not mix. The water and oil don’t mix because they are immiscible, meaning the water molecules are attracted to the water and the oil molecules are attracted to the oil. Even when you shake it up, as soon as the molecules settle, they separate. His container that was shaken and place on the desk showed this happening.
Superbowl is coming Feb. 11th - Get your pizza for game day! - Hudson High Fundraiser

RECYCLING INK CARTRIDGES
The Kindergarten and 1st grade Girl Scouts are doing a recycling project and want to recycle your empty printer ink cartridges. A collection box will be located inside Mulready Elementary School from December to March. Their goal is to keep 200 cartridges from decaying and leaking toxins in landfills, thank you for helping them with their goal.
RECESS IN THE SNOW
If there is snow arounf the play structure and on the field, only children who come with snow pants and boots will be allowed to play in those areas.
SPECIAL NOTE IF SCHOOL IS DELAYED THIS WINTER
If there is a 2-hour delay at any time this winter, school will start exactly 2 hours after the regular start time. School starts at 8:35. A 2-hour delay means that school will start at 10:35. If your child takes a bus, pick-up will be two hours later than your ordinary pick-up time. Drop-off will begin at 10:20 am (which is 2 hours later than the normal 8:20 drop-off).
ABSENTEE LINE/TARDIES
Just a reminder - please be sure to call your child out when they will not be in school. (978) 567-6170. You can leave a message on the absentee line. Also, if your child enters the building late, after 8:35 am, he/she should have a parent with them to sign them in. Thank you!
LABEL LUNCH BOXES AND CLOTHING
Please label your child's belongings. That way we can be sure that the items get back to their owners.
Also, if your child is missing clothing or a backpack or lunchbox, feel free to stop by and check out our tables.
