A Late Walk
By: Robert Frost
What would you do if someone you loved was dying? Would you care for them? Would you buy them a gift? Well what Robert Frost wanted to do was bring them an Aster flower. The Aster flower symbolizes love. But getting the specific flower took him a little while as the time of year was late fall turning into winter and flowers were dying.
What the poem means
A Late Walk is written to a loved one that may be dying or has already passed away.
A Quote
“I end not far from my going forth by picking the faded blue of the last remaining aster flower to carry again to you.”
