Our Vision
Our Lady of Fatima Palmyra is a Catholic School that aspires to
provide a respectful, secure and caring learning environment
where our community is committed to following
the teachings of Jesus.
From the Principal
Dear Parents,
It has been great to see the community transition so quickly into the new routines for the 2020 year, particularly with the alterations to the school with the new administration building and the new hall. With the new buildings we have some changes to traffic flow for children and parents in and out of the school.
Those changes include the two main entry points adjacent to the large grassed area off Hammad Road and the gate off Harris Street will continue to be used as normal but the gates will be locked at 8:45am once the children have settled into their classrooms. After that time, families are asked to enter through the front office to sign in.
Once those gates are locked, the old front office door which is now the door to the uniform shop will be unlocked for the children to come up to the office from the playground at recess and lunchtime. We also ask parents to enter classrooms in the morning and afternoon through the external doors (the back door of the gallery and up the stairs for the Year 5 and 6 classrooms) to avoid using the gallery as a thoroughfare. Thank you for your cooperation with these changes, it does ensure an even safer environment for our children to operate in.
Thank you to all the parents who attended our annual Parent Information Evening last Tuesday night, I hope you found it informative both at a classroom and whole school level.
