2. Spring Practice for any rising 9th grader interested in playing football at Lexington High School next year will be Monday through Thursday from 4:00-6:00 at Lexington High School. Students must have a physical on file to participate. There will also be a parent/player meeting on May 22nd at 6:30pm in the Lexington High School Old Gym to go over the Summer Workout Schedule.
3. All rising 7th and 8th graders who will be attending PHMS and wish to play football next year are reminded to report to spring practice on Monday through Friday from 3:45-5:00.
4. All rising 7th and 8th graders who will be attending Beechwood and wish to play football next year are reminded to report to spring practice on Tues., May 14 from 4:15 until 6:00. Practice will be held at LHS on the lower field behind the stadium scoreboard. You will need cleats and must have a current physical on file in order to participate. You can bring the physical with you on Tuesday. If you wish to ride the shuttle bus over you must sign up in the office.
5. The deadline to apply to be on the Cougar Pride Yearbook Staff for next year has been extended to this Tuesday. Rising 8th graders can apply by getting an application from Ms. Leaphart in P605.
6. Spring volleyball practice will be the next three weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm. All current 7th and 6th graders (due to the recent SCHSL rule change) are able to participate with an up-to-date physical.
7. Auditions for the 2019-20 PHMS Dance Team will be held Wednesday at 3:45 in the gym. For more information, please contact Coach Coffey at jcoffey@lexington1.net
8. The PTSA will be selling Pelican’s SnoBalls for $3 during lunch on Thursday and Friday.
9. The 8th Grade Semi-Formal Ball sponsored by the PTSA will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 5:30-8:30 in the cafeteria. Tickets will be on sale during lunch from May 7-15 for $15. 10. Attention all PHMS athletes, this is a reminder of our PHMS Athletic Banquet on Sunday, May 19. Please turn in your banquet order form into Mrs. Wooten by Monday, May 13.
