Snow Leopard

Scientific Name: Panthera Uncia

Identification

The snow leopard is an amazing creature in many ways. One of its astonishing features (and one of the ways it got its name) is its thick snow-like fur that is white w/ light brown patches. It has a long tail that provides balance, agility and when its cold wraps it around himself for warmth. Its hind legs give them the agility to leap 6 times the length of its body. the length of the average snow leopard is 2-5 feet. They also have a powerful build that allows it to scale great deep slopes w/ ease.

Location and Habitat

They live in cold, high mountains such as: china Bhuta, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia, and Mongolia.

The snow leopard eats Blue Sheep, Agril Wild Sheep, Ibex, Marmots, Pikas, and Hares
