Covid Notification FAQs
Who receives a Covid Notification Letter?
UPDATE as of Monday, August 30 -- All CFISD schools will send a notification letter to the parents of all classes a student attends if a student tests positive for Covid-19.
If my student is sick, can they switch to virtual learning?
Last year, if a student was out sick, they could switch to virtual instruction and continue attending class online. This is not an option for students receiving in-person instruction at this time. If a student will be out for an extended period of time (more than 3 days) parents may arrange to pick up student work with their child's teachers as was our practice prior to the onset of the pandemic. With the addition of Schoology, teachers are now able to send work directly to students through Schoology and make class notes/resources available to students online. This is also an option your child's teachers may utilize for some assignments.
Important Note:
The district is constantly re-evaluating its guidelines and protocols to ensure they are meeting state and CDC guidelines to the extent they are able. This means these protocols may change in the future. Rennell will always follow the most current Lead Safely guidelines. Please be assured that many of the staff here are parents as well so please feel confident in the knowledge that we all have a vested interest in keeping all of our Rennell children as safe as possible.
What if my child is showing symptoms of Covid 19?
