A Note About Missing and Failing Work:
Teachers and administrators have been sending emails and making phone calls to parents and guardians regarding missing work and assignments that needed corrections. Please make sure you are checking emails and voicemails. It is our goal to help support families in getting all assignments turned in and have a successful end of the school year.
Please contact your child's teacher, Mrs. Blackburn, Mrs. Ledger or Mrs. Morales if you have questions or need any help and support in completing the work. Thank you for your continued partnership.
Updated with New Information...Picking Up Student Materials From Seven Hills:
- remaining school supplies
- personal headphones
- student portfolios, writing notebooks, and other collections of student work from the year
- consumable workbooks - these could be used for practice throughout the summer
- recorders
- art portfolios
- end of year awards
- medications in the clinic (if a controlled substance, parents MUST make arrangements with Nurse Joy Ellis for pick up)
Some items you might need to return to school include:
- library books
- books from the classroom
- resources loaned to your family by the classroom teacher, counselor, etc.
- At this time, we are not asking that chromebooks and hotspots be returned. Our hope is to allow you to keep those over the summer for NISD summer enrichment and summer school. If you are moving and leaving the district, you will need to return the chromebook and hotspot.
All items being returned to the school need to be placed in a plastic bag (either a grocery type bag or a Ziplock type bag) labeled with your child's first and last name.

YEARBOOKS...GET YOUR 2019-2020 YEARBOOKS!!!!
Seven Hills partners with the PTA every year to produce the yearbook. We sincerely apologize for the delay in getting this year's yearbooks ordered. Due to the late ordering of the yearbooks, the yearbook company and the PTA are offering options for having yearbooks mailed directly to your home. The other option is to pick the yearbook up when we return to school in August. The school plans to advertise yearbook signing at Meet the Teacher in August!
End of Year Awards Assemblies:
- Wear school shirts
- Dress in fancy clothes (this might be fun for our Kindergarten and 5th graders)
- Play the awards on the TV instead of a computer
- Eat your child's favorite snacks as you watch the awards
- Celebrate with your child's favorite dinner or dessert
- Decorate your house
The possibilities are endless! Our teachers are working diligently to make this a memorable virtual awards celebration...we want to honor the GREATNESS in our Star Leaders!
Paper certificates will be available in your child's bag at pick-up on May 19 - 21. If you pick up BEFORE you watch the awards, we hope you will save the paper awards to present to your child when they watch the virtual awards!

A Message From the Texas Education Agency:
The Texas Education Agency has asked school districts across the state to share information about health and safety information related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Below is an introductory letter, and going forward our school district will have links to TEA resources in messages and newsletters.
Though we are apart right now for our health and safety, we must continue to support one another as a community, and right now we must work together to fight COVID-19. In order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will be providing important guidance as recommended by the state of Texas.
This guidance is based on what scientists know about how to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and it is our hope that you will continue doing all you can to follow these practices and share them with your friends and family.
Thank you for what you are doing to educate your children at home and all the efforts you're making to keep your family healthy and safe. We know this is a difficult time. If we stand apart as a community during this stretch and continue following the public health practices, we will be back together soon.
