Journey Church

Connecting, Growing, Serving & Reaching The World for Christ

God is Good!

We have heard many reports lately of God at work in the lives of those who call Journey home. During prayer time last weekend, we got to hear some stories of His faithfulness in providing for needs in people's lives. This week we have gotten to see God protect Darrell Franklin as he suffered another heart attack and went through surgery to put in more stints. We see Him at work in so many ways and that brings so much joy!!!! Please continue to pray for the people at Journey to experience God's hand in a powerful way.

Last weekend we had a great time of worship and then ended things right with a delicious meal while at the Ethiopian Scarf Party. Not only did we have a great turnout, but LOTS of scarves were purchased to support The Connected In Hope Ministry of Ethiopia.

This Saturday, be sure to come on out for our annual Fall Neighborhood Cookout! The local Salvation Army is providing the food, and we will have some other things available as well. We plan to bring lots of coats for distribution from the Mission 25 Clothing Center as the cold months are coming. Aside from food and coats, there will be face painting, a bouncy house, cotton candy, candy bags for the kids, and MC'd music.

THIS SATURDAY, 12-2 p.m. at Trailblazer Park on Clark Street! Be there!!!!

We will meet at 10 a.m. to load up the grill, coats, candy bags, and cotton candy supplies. If you come after 10:30 please come directly to the park and help set up there. We will also need a group willing to go door to door in the neighborhood handing out invitations.

There is a lot on the calendar, as always, for the upcoming holiday months. Next week will be a baby shower for the Caldwell's after church, a Ladie's Craft-a-thon the following Friday, and the annual Churchwide Potluck Dinner & White Elephant Game. Check out your bulletin for more details on these events.

See you Sunday!
