Big picture

All Saints' Day

On this All Saints' Day, a Holy Day of Obligation, students and staff joined our parish community for Mass at 9:15 am. There is one more Mass this evening at 7:00 pm. All are welcome!

Some people ask why we as Catholics make such a big deal about saints and Mary. The website, "Formed" offers a short video on why Catholics seek the intercession of Mary and our beloved saints. Check it out!

NOTE: We will still attend our regular school Mass tomorrow, Friday, November 2.

Visitors @ StMCS November 7, 8, 9

StMCS has been an accredited school with MNSAA, the Minnesota Non-Public Schools Accrediting Association, since 1990.

November 7-9, we will be hosting an onsite team of 8 education professionals who represent MNSAA. This team of teachers and principals from other accredited schools will be here to support us in the re-accreditation process. While here, the team will conduct something similar to a program audit. They will conduct stakeholder interviews, review our school strategic plan and offer both suggestions and commendations.

The team will seek parent feedback so you may receive a phone call or perhaps a car-side "interview" at end-of-day pick-up on Nov. 7 or 8. They will likely ask what you see as the greatest strengths and challenges of StMCS and what your overall satisfaction or experience is. Please take the opportunity to help us grow, learn and be affirmed as we together "Live for Christ and Learn for Life".

Committing to accreditation means seeking continuous improvement. As such, every seven years we choose to do this intensive self study, conduct an extensive satisfaction survey (last year), and gather evidence in support of benchmarks that make us a quality school. We use the findings to craft a strategic plan that will guide our actions for the next 5+ years. After the team has reviewed our plan and we have refined it again, we will post it along with our annual progress toward our goals.
