No será necesario inscribirse para conferencias presenciales.Cell Phones and Social Media- Cell phones and social media have been a major distraction for students in school. Last week, our administrators and security began cell phone spot checks. They walked around the school and if students were on the phones during classrooms, they confiscated those phones. We returned them at the end of the day. We will continue this practice at random times during the week. Students who continue to use the phones after it was confiscated will face additional consequences that can include in school suspension, or parents will have to pick up those phones. We need to work together especially because social media is being used to harrass and bully students as well as make threats in attempts to disrupt the learning environment. Parents, we ask you and other family member to please not text students during class times. They can only use their phones during lunch times. We all want students to spend their class time focused on learning.
6th Grade Students and Backpacks- All sixth graders are expected to leave their backpacks in their lockers in the morning before 1st period begins. They should not be carrying it around at any point during the school day. Students are allowed to go to their lockers to put away and get what they need before school, before lunch, after lunch, and at the end of the school day. Please help us reinforce this rule as it applies to entire sixth grade. Thank you very much for your cooperation.
