GAME HI-LIGHTS

FRIDAY, MAY 19

Girls V/LAX - The girls lacrosse team won their match against Tohickon on Friday 13-8.

Once again, goal keepers Liv and LuLu had an outstanding performance - shutting down Tohickon's offense along with the help of defenders Sarah C. and Kylie H. Ashley R. led the team in draw controls and had a breakaway goal in the second half to help the team secure their second win!


Boys V/LAX - played at home vs Tohickon


Varsity Track - It was a fabulous final Varsity meet of the Tamanend track team on Friday, with the Tigers out running, out throwing and out jumping sister school Unami. Place winners included 8th graders Ben, Liam, Aaron, Aritra, James, Michael, Ryan, Colin, Nate M., Hannah, Liz, Yvonne, Kate, Ally, Ellie, Izzy, and 7th graders Nate F., Olivia, and Tianna. Way to go Tigers! For Varsity AND JV: the pizza party is scheduled for June 1st. Please bring your $5 to a coach this week!

Girls 8th Grade Soccer - The 8th grade soccer team finished their regular season with an exciting 6-6 tie against Holicong yesterday. Scoring for the lady tigers were Janessa, Grace, Caroline, and Bridget.

Wednesday, May 24

Boys/Girls Varsity Track - What an incredible day the track athletes had yesterday at their Track Championships at Tohickon. Overall, our boys came in 5th place and the girls came in 6th.

Tamanend had an amazing number of place winners. Most impressive was Shane, who placed 2nd in the 200 and 4th in the 100. Shane was also part of the 4 x 100 team who placed 5th, running with Liam, Brian and Ryan G.

Liam also placed 2nd in the mile and Brian placed 4th in the long. Tommy had a great day, placing 1st in the shot and setting a Tamanend record. Ben placed 5th in the 800, and the weighted 4 x 100 team ran 4th with members Nate M., Colin, Jake and Michael.

For the girls, Yvonne placed 2nd in the hurdles and 4th in the high jump. The open 4 x 100 team placed 5th with Izzy, Ellie, Olivia and Tiahna. Izzy also placed 2nd in the 200, Audrey 6th in the long, and Brianna 4th in the 800.

Soccer Playoffs at home vs Holicong


Baseball Playoffs at Lenape: The Tamanend 8th grade baseball team lost to top seed Holicong in the district semi-finals yesterday by a score of 10-4. The Tigers showed grit and resiliency in the loss, but were unable to overcome an early deficit. This year’s varsity players consisted of: Alex B, Dakota B, Michael C, Jeff D, Carter H, Carter H, Shane H, Sean F, Ethan F, Jake L, Clay N, Robby P, Kyle S, and Max S. Special thanks to Jake M, Tim G, Logan G, and Ms Britt for keeping the book and pitch count this season.


8th Grade Girls Soccer Playoffs: The 8th grade soccer team had an impressive 3-0 victory over rival Holicong in the first round of playoffs yesterday. Scoring for the lady tigers were Liz and Leah. The team played very well together with a strong defense led by Bridget, Makayla, Kelli, Sarah, and Catherine.


8th Grade Girls Softball Playoffs: The 8th grade Girls softball team had a huge victory over Holicong yesterday with a final score of 12-2 to earn a spot in the championship game. Gracie M was a shut out pitcher in the first four innings keeping the Holicong girls off the bases. Great hitting and defensive by the entire team lead the tigers to victory. Great game girls and good luck in the championship game against Unami!

CB SOUTH SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

MAKE-UPS for Concussion Education are May 31st at 3 pm in room D204 and D205.

Impact testing to follow the concussion presentation.

Any 8th or 9th grader who will be playing a fall sport and missed the first concussion meeting, there will be a shuttle bus available for the make-ups on May 31st. If you are planning on taking the shuttle you will need to bring a note from your parent giving you permission to ride the bus, to the front office to obtain your bus pass. No student will be permitted on the bus without a bus pass.


Cross Country - There will be a meeting for all students and their parents interested in participating in Cross Country at CB South this fall. June 12 @ 6:45pm in the Forum Room


Boy's Soccer - There will be a CB South Boys’ Soccer Organizational Meeting for Players and Parents on May 30th in the Forum Room at 7:00 PM.

FINAL TRYOUT JUNE 8TH 3:30-6. ATHLETES MAY LEAVE AFTER THEY TRYOUT.
