Greek god of desire, affection, and erotic love
Have you ever wondered why cupid shoots arrows? Cupid shoots arrows to inspire romantic love, often as an icon of valentines day. Cupid had two kinds of arrows, one with a golden tip and one with a blunt lead tip. When one is shot with the golden tipped arrow they are filled with desire. However when one is shot with the blunt lead tipped arrow is filled with desire to flee.
Cupids mother is Venus (goddess of love). His father is Mars (god of war). Some of cupids siblings are Anteros, Himeros, and Phobos.
