JSE Tracks

Principal's Weekly News, April 4th

Keeping you informed of all the "tracks" we make at school and in our community!

JSE Monthly Attributes

Characteristic of a Successful Learner (CSL): Active Listening

Bucket-Filling Trait: Empathy

It's a Marvelous Monday at JSE

Spring is trying to spring at JSE even though it doesn't feel that way this morning! It was a joy to hear students practice speaking to their class and listening to their peers about outside activities of Sunday in their morning classroom check-ins.

(fingers crossed the snow was Mother Nature's April Fools Joke)

We are all eager to put our sweaters in the back of the closet and enjoy lightweight summer gear! A couple friendly reminders:

  • Please remember to follow our handbook policies for student dress, including: shorts, dress, skirt length, tank top guidelines, and safe shoes.
  • If your child is now a walker or bike rider please let us know of the change in writing.

Art Highlights

Save the date, the JSE Art Show featuring all students will be May 13th from 6-7:30. Our book fair and library will also be open during that time. We are proud of our student dedication and effort in art class.

In addition to our JSE Art show, this year UTSC joins South Haven Library to showcase some of our best artwork. Twenty pieces of art work from each UTSC school will be on display at South Haven Library this month with a reception next Wednesday, April 13th from 4:30-6p.m. Congrats to our chosen artists. All are invited to the reception to view the art talent at UTSC.

Pictures above highlight our ceramic masterpieces! Be looking for the perfect display shelf in your house, these will soon be yours!

After-School Art Club Grade 2-5, started this week! Thank you Mr. Dickey for your dedication to JSE!
