Birthday Treats

Important Reminder

Each year we have more students affected by food allergies. In order to promote nutrition and healthy life choices, and to provide less opportunity for allergic reaction, we have changed the way we celebrate student birthdays. We will continue to honor each student throughout the year as they celebrate their birthday, but we will no longer allow edible birthday and/or other celebration treats (candy, cupcakes, cookies, pizza) during the school day. Families who wish to celebrate their child’s birthday here at school may want to dedicate a book to the classroom, provide a special gift (as a bookmark, sticker, pencil), or eat lunch at school with their child. We appreciate your understanding as we seek a safe learning environment for all students in our care.
