News From the Principal
I hope that you are enjoying summer break with your children. Here at Prospect, preparations for the coming year are well underway!
The first day of school is Wednesday, August 16th. Due to the first day landing on a Wednesday, it will be a "late start" day with school starting at 9:20. As our returning families know, EVERY Wednesday is late start to allow teachers common planning time. Dismissal is always at 3:55 pm.
Thank you for being a part of the Prospect family! I look forward to seeing you and your children soon!
Best wishes,
Mrs. Venecia, Principal

Step 3: Click "School Forms"
- Please make sure you review, and update as needed, the Medical and Update Contact Information forms.
- Keep clicking Save Form and electronically signing until you get to the page where you can sign and confirm the form is complete.
- A message will come up thanking you for completing the form. You can Double-check the update status by clicking on "Click here to view the status of your forms."
- The text above the school forms seems to imply that you don't need to update these forms if there haven't been changes, but we do need you to annually review and submit the forms even if there are no changes.

Class Placement
Prospect has a carefully thought-out process for student placement which includes the collaboration of classroom teachers, the counselor, and the principal. Our team considers a variety of factors, including individual student needs, class size, boy/girl ratio, learning preferences of students and teacher instuctional methods, important student combinations/separations, and more with the goal of building balanced classes. In addition, parents were invited to provide input on their child's class placement last spring. Over the summer, we have added new students to our carefully balanced classes. All of this has been done to ensure the best possible learning environment for all of our students.
