Instructional Strategies and Culturally Responsive Teaching

Tuesday, Feb. 23rd, 4:30pm to Wednesday, Feb. 24th, 4:30pm

Newport Middle Media Center (2/23) or Zoom Conference (2/24)

If you are earning WOU credit for the mentor project then you are required to participate in all of the seminars.

For those who are not registering for WOU credit, you are expected to attend 4 of the 6 choice seminars; therefore, if you have not attended any choice seminars during the fall semester, you MUST attend the remaining CHOICE seminars in February, March, April, and May.

In person seminar at the Newport Middle School Media Center on Tuesday, February 23rd from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM, will be led by mentors Andrea Kopshever, Ben Ewing, and Sue Thompson. You will be compensated at curriculum rate of pay per hour for your attendance.


Zoom conference from the comfort of your home or classroom on Wednesday, February 24th from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM will be led by mentors Ruth McDonald and Kristin Becker. You must download the the Zoom application on to your computer. You will be compensated at curriculum rate of pay per hour for your attendance.

Note to Zoom participants: A Zoom dry run/practice session will be conducted by Kristin Becker on Monday, February 22nd, at 3:30 PM. The Zoom link to the practice conference will be sent to you once you have registered for the Zoom Conference. This is meant to be quick and just a check-in to be sure you can get onto the conference with ease.
