About Richard Nixon
Richard Nixon was the 37 president of the united states, he served from 1969 to 1974. He was the only president to resign from office. Before he was the president he was a U.S. representative and the senator of California. He served in active duty in the U.S. navy reserve during WWII.
His Pursuit of the Hiss case established his reputation as a leading anti-communist. He was the running mate of Dwight D. Eisenhower, The republican party presidential election nominee. Nixon served eight years as vice-president. Nixon presided over the Apollo 11 moon landing which ended the moon race.

Vietnam
Nixon ended the american involvement in the Vietnam war in 1973 and brought american POW's home. At the same time he ended the military draft. Nixon tried to cut Ho Chi Minh trail by secretly bombing north Vietnamese sanctuaries in Cambodia.
In January 1973, The U.S., south Vietnam, viet-kong, and north Vietnam signed a cease fire agreement.
