Principal's Message
Hello again families,
We are starting to get back into the swing of things after the water main broke, and it sure feels great to have students back in the building more regularly. Please encourage your students to come on time, especially Advisory. Advisory is the core of our programming and the key to our Mastery-Based learning programming.
Grade checks are happening throughout the school as well, please work with your student/s on keeping up on learning and work that is happening in all classes.
Stay amazing!

Meet our Staff
Leandra Reuble
After earning a double major in secondary education and print journalism from Washington State University, I moved to Southern Idaho and wrote full time for several local newspapers before deciding to put my teaching credentials to use as the sophomore English teacher at a small high school for two years. Then I taught in northern Nevada for a year before settling back home to teach at the alternative high school in Oak Harbor for 13 years. I did my first master's degree at Western Washington University in English Studies with a focus on technical writing. I also earned administrative credentials through Seattle Pacific University and stuck with them for a second master's degree in Literacy and this year I am working on a dissertation to finish off a doctorate in education.
I had an interesting opportunity to see for myself what was happening in public education and spent another six years working for a publishing company as a literacy intervention consultant. My job was to train and coach teachers in several different curriculums designed to help students not reading at grade level. I traveled to 19 different states in person and met some truly amazing educators along the way.
I made the decision to go back into the classroom to have an opportunity to put all of that education and experience to use in working with students. I still live in Coupeville, located on Whidbey Island, and commute every day but it's worth it for the opportunity to learn more about the Tulalip Tribe and participate in building a successful Big Picture Learning program. I look forward to meeting more members of the community at our upcoming events and encourage each of you to stop in for a visit and see what's happening on campus!
