SMART Family Time in the Garden!
Bilingual fun for children under 5 with their parents
Books and Vegetables!
Children who read books with pictures of healthy foods are more likely to eat their vegetables! Join us for some our bilingual storytime and garden walks on June 24th (9:30 -10:15 am) and June 28th (5:30 - 6:15 pm). SMART Family Literacy will give your child a book at this event. One of our favorites is Growing Vegetable Soup by Lois Ehlert.

Oregano
Oregano is an herb. It smells so good. We like to cook it in a pan with olive oil, chopped onions, and tomatoes. Then we pour the mixture over pasta. Yum!
Ladybug
Ladybugs are helpfu insects in the garden. They eat aphids and help the plants we like to eat. You might see a ladybug when you visit the garden.
Library Time!
Be like Lola! Visit the library. It would be AMAZING if you could read 1,000 books to your child before kindergarten! You could even win prizes for reading the books. Find out how at Rosenberg Library: https://rosenberg-library.org/1kbooks/.
