On Tuesday, December 6, during 4th hour (10:14am), sophomores will attend a class meeting and Career Tech Center Presentation in the Auditorium.
During the week of December 12, WSH Counselors facilitate Xello Lessons with 9th-12th grade students in all WSH ELA classes. Xello helps students discover relevant college, university, trade, military, and career options based on their personality, skills, and knowledge. Students that do not take an ELA class at WSH will be emailed information and instructions in order to complete the lesson on their own.
College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) Information
CLEP offers students the opportunity to receive college credit for what they already know by earning qualifying scores on CLEP Exams.
How do I prepare for the CLEP Exam?
Students should make use of various test materials and resources to get ready for the CLEP Exam(s). There are free online CLEP courses offered by Modern States Education Alliance. The CLEP website has free downloadable fact sheets for each of the 34 exams that include exam descriptions, a breakdown of exam content, and 5–10 sample questions per exam. More in-depth materials, which include CLEP exam guides and the CLEP practice app, are available for purchase.
Will the college/university I plan to attend grant credit for the CLEP?
Each college sets its own policy regarding which CLEP exams it will grant credit for and how many credits it will award. For a list of the colleges that grant credit for CLEP, visit the CLEP School Policy Search website.
What are my next steps if I am interested in taking the CLEP Exams?
Check to make sure the college that I plan to attend will grant credit for the CLEP Exam(s) I want to take by visiting the CLEP School Policy Search website.
Make an appointment with your WSH Counselor to discuss which CLEP Exam(s) you would like to take.
