The Media Connection - Library Media Center News from Ms. Arax
General Library and Overdue Book Information
- Let me know how I can help support learning in your classroom. We have over 10,000 books in our collection and we circulate at least 500 books every week (not including e-books). If your team is working on a project, how can the Library Media Center support student learning and your teaching? I'm here to help and I look forward to connecting with you.
- Please remember to check out books with me and put them in the drop box when you are finished. If accurate, our library circulation records are a helpful indicator and important data on how our school is supporting literacy.
- Overdue Notices Information:
- Automatic e-mail overdue notices are sent out on a County wide basis. If you have any questions, e-mail me and I can look into individual accounts.
- I print out paper notices about once a month and deliver them to classroom teachers so they can send the notices home with students.
- Remember we never want to shame our students or make them feel bad for forgetting a book. Students can check out one book at a time so we encourage them to bring them back so they can exchange during their class time with me.
- If you keep books in the classroom and a student gets a notice:
b) The student might have taken the book home so have them check at home.
