Thank You!
This morning, as I got out of the shower, I decided to Q-Tip my ears. They both came out bright pink because I had missed some of the powder from the PTO Color Run last night. Our Color Run was an absolute blast! Because of amazing planning by PTO committee chairs Laura Halpenny and Margie Vardalos, and with the support of their volunteers and WMS staff, the Color Run went off on a beautiful, sunny fall afternoon. It felt 100% normal- which was really nice!
It takes a great number of people to support a school. Certainly, teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, custodians, and administrators do this every day. But it is because we have a strong parent organization with our PTO that we are able to support some additional initiatives that we would otherwise not be able to! Take a look at this incredibly long list of things that our PTO has supported.
We are getting ready to kick off our WMS PTO PapaNicholas Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate and Write-a-Check Fundraiser on November 1st. This is our BIG FUNDRAISER for the year and we will need your help! Please note that I am going to be pushy and direct in my plea for you to help our PTO make a bunch of money to support the great things the PTO supports at Wredling. From class novels to fitness equipment, from wobble chairs to board games... our PTO uses that money to support students at Wredling!
➥Thanks to all of our volunteer parents, guardians, and grandparents who help us make great things happen here at Wredling. YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
Enjoy your weekend!
Tim

Summer CTE Camps Survey
The Northern Kane County Regional Vocational System is a consortium of school districts U-46, District 300, District 301, and District 303 working together on career and technical education and college and career readiness throughout the region. The districts are currently considering the possibility of offering summer camps aligned to these opportunities giving students exposure to different career fields. Career fields include robotics, computer science/programming, automotive technology, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, welding, construction, video and music production, culinary arts, veterinary science, and health science. In order to plan and offer the very best in camp opportunities for our students, we need to hear from you and your students. We would like your feedback on these possible summer opportunities. Please take a moment to complete the survey below by October 31st and share your thoughts with us.

Parent Volunteer Communication from the District
In District 303 we believe that families are the strongest partners we have to support our students’ education. We are excited to welcome volunteers back into District 303 buildings to assist with a variety of classroom and school activities.
As a public school district, we are required to comply with the Governor’s Executive Order relative to COVID-19 mitigation steps in all district buildings. These steps will keep our students, staff members, and volunteers safe while they are in our schools. Given that, all volunteers must:
Provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test received within 72 hours of arriving to volunteer
Bring documentation to the front office upon arrival
Wear a properly fitting mask at all times while in the building
Complete the Volunteer Information Form prior to the first time you volunteer
Our students and staff members appreciate your willingness to volunteer your time!

Support for Your Child if they are Quarantined:
If your child is quarantined due to Covid, our teachers will send work to your child and work with you and your child as we always have when a child is out of school. We want to recognize that quarantine offers some unique challenges for our students.
We will be offering instructional support through a certified teacher during quarantine. Ann Rose, a recently retired D303 teacher, will be available to support our quarantine students through Zoom. When a child begins quarantine, we will email both the child and the parent with information on how to access Mrs. Rose's Zoom for support. We encourage our quarantined students to access this instructional support!
