Great Start!
It's been a great start to the school year. I realize we have had a lot of adjustments in our first couple of weeks together, but we are starting to see things settle down a bit which is nice. I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm and positivity.
We have talked about the importance of greeting our kids as they walk into our classrooms. Many of our staff do this every day! I challenge us all to make this a priority and ask that we all continue to be a visible presence outside our classrooms and in the hallways. It will take us all being a part of creating our culture.
I was listening to our new superintendent Andy as he described a teacher he admired the other day. He told a story about what this teacher used to say to him. She said, "You know Andy, outstanding teachers are always out standing, that's what I always say!" It's kind of catchy!
Glad you're here!
