School Board Information
Running for School Board Upcoming Info Session via Zoom
Are you considering running for the PASD school board? The Phoenixville Area School District will hold two information sessions for any community members wanting to learn more about the process of running for the school board in the upcoming May 2023 primary. The information presented will be the same at both sessions. This is NOT a commitment to run…it IS an opportunity to hear from current board members and ask questions about the election process and the responsibilities involved in being a PASD school board member.

BusPatrol Video Cameras
Keeping Students Safe
PASD is using new technology to keep students safe. BusPatrol video cameras are now mounted on the side of school district busses to identify vehicles who break the law by passing a bus while it is stopped for students. Click below to read the article published in today’s Philadelphia Inquirer.
School buses equipped with cameras have issued 8,000 violations to drivers in Pa. since August
The road to a new way of protecting Pennsylvania students from traffic began in 2017 as Allentown mom Amber Clark walked her daughter, Olivia, across the street to board a school bus for the third day of kindergarten. "I heard a car backfire," Clark recalled.

This Face Says It All!
PAELC Parachute Experiment
This face says it all! Clearly the lesson was a hit! Students in Mrs. Finkbohner's class enjoyed a science experiment investigating the effects of air on objects. Students used napkins, string, tape, and paperclips to make parachutes. The parachutes were tested to see how they interacted with air. The students observed that the air pushed up against the canopy to slow it down. A great location to see the experiment in action!
