Warhawk Families -
It's been a stellar first six weeks! Our scholars have worked hard to set the standard of excellence and are blazing the trail for future Warhawks!
While I will distribute an email each month throughout the school year to families highlighting upcoming events, I encourage you to check the WMS homepage on a regular basis for the most up to date information. We also use our social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) to post information and updates about activities and the learning going on in our classrooms.
We are excited for another school year and appreciate your support as we all work together to promote the learning and success of our scholars.
Go Warhawks! And remember, you belong here.

Safety Drills
Safety is a priority for us at WMS.
We had our first fire drill of the year in September and we cleared the building and finished the drill in six minutes. Our scholars were exceptional at meeting expectations during this drill. We will have a fire drill every month.
In August, our Warhawk staff received training from the Brazos County Sherriff's Office to enhance our lockdown practices. Across the district at the secondary campuses, we have added the Avoid/Deny/Defend methodology as overviewed in the video below.
If you have any questions about our safety drills, please email Mr. Stewart, our Assistant Principal who oversees safety.
Driving Around Campus
Please note that the southernmost driveway on Royder Road is an exit only. If you need access to the front parking lot and the safety cones are in place, we ask that you drive around the parent loop and enter the parking lot from the south.
Leadership CSISD
College Station ISD has made a commitment to remain transparent and engaged with our community. Leadership CSISD allows parents, community leaders, and business partners the ability to get an “up-close and personal” look at how the district operates.
Please click this LINK for more details about this opportunity.
Being a part of Leadership CSISD is a great opportunity for you to get a behind the scenes look at how the district functions and to learn more about our great district. Take a look at the schedule for this year to see the variety of areas we cover:
Community Based Accountability System (CBAS) Committee
Aside from volunteering at schools, there are several opportunities for community members and parents to become actively involved with the CSISD educational system. CSISD has multiple committees and opportunities for parents and community members to help the administration and school board shape the direction of the district.
CSISD is seeking parent and community member voices for an upcoming committee to help update the CSISD Community Based Accountability plan. If you are interested in this opportunity, please email Molley Perry, Chief Administrative Officer, at mperry@csisd.org.
If you are interested in any other committee, please click this LINK to get more information and fill out the Committee Application form.
