ACTION ITEMS-Complete these tasks by the deadline
- DUE-Emergency Lesson Plans due 2:30pm, Monday, August 29th to Ms. Ellis in the Main Office. An envelope will be provided. Emergency folder must contain completed templates and 3 days worth of assignments.
- DUE WEDNESDAY- Deadline August 31, 2022 : Read letter below. Teachers complete the module: Access, Equity, and Student Grades. The module will provide information and updates concerning the newly revised 10-Point Grading scale and the Grading protocol procedures.
- Various Deadlines: Complete all SafeSchools trainings by the designated deadline.

Students with damaged, lost, or devices in need of IT repair should see Mrs. Hill immediately.

Recognition and Awareness
Hi-5👏👏👏👍
A big Hi-5 goes to the entire faculty and staff for setting the expectation of making good decisions and making good choices in the building. Very few students have cell phones out during transition and in the class. Continue to implement rules and procedures consistently. Go Wolverines!!
Curriculum and Instruction
Family Engagement Plan and School Parent Compact
First period teachers will receive a memo with directions for distributing the Family Engagement Plan and the School Parent Compact on Monday, August 29th. Have students sign their name on the roster indicating that they received copies of these documents.
Then, students will take the School Parent Compact home to have parents sign and return them to the first period teachers. Return all signed rosters with returned forms attached to Mrs. Marszalek by September 6, 2022.

After School Tutoring Program
If you are planning on working as a paid tutor for the After School Tutoring Program, you MUST submit your application this week. Send Mrs. Marszalek and email indicating that you have applied so that your application can be accepted.
After School Tutoring Days/Times will be Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30pm until 4:00pm. Tutoring is for 9th /10th EOC ELA and Math and 11th /12th ACT Prep.
Instructional Practice #1: Easily accessible annotated PBO
The first round of instructional walk-throughs will focus on effective implementation of IP #1.
Attached you will find two resources that align with the expectations for Instructional Practice #1.
- Instructional Practice 1 Guidance PowerPoint: This PowerPoint outlines the guidance that has been previously shared with examples for the two places PBO's should be displayed inside of classrooms.
- Academic Foci Support for IP1 document: This document provides support with accessing the Annotated PBO resources provided by C&I (teachers should use the resources inside of their classrooms.) Guidance is also provided for the two places PBO's should be displayed inside of classrooms.

Culture and Climate
- Call parents of students who are habitually tardy to your class, especially 1st period and document in the call log. These students are missing valuable instruction. Click on the button below to access the Parent Call log.
- Please stand at your door during all transitions. Remind students- "Hands-Free", "Ears Free", and Hoods off. GREET your students as they enter class.
- The 15-15 rule is still in place. Students should not be released from the room the first 15 minutes of the class nor the last.
Operations
- Obtain your parking pass from the attendance office and display in your car.
- Cars should not park in the loading area (area across from ADMIN spaces) in the back by the band room door.
- If you are gong to be absent, you must email Dr. Williams, Dr. Webb, and Mrs. Myers. Also create an absence in subfinder.
- Maintain two-way communication with all students regarding their grades.
- Submit attendance in PowerSchool each period.
