Mr. Bentman's Bulletin
January 21, 2022
Dear North Coventry,
2022 NC Science Fair Competition!
The North Coventry Virtual Science Research Competition was held on Thursday, January 20st, 2022. This year’s competition was virtual. Projects were displayed using Google Slides on the NC Science Fair Website found here.
Mr. Nick Zurga, one of our sixth grade educators, served as North Coventry’s science fair coordinator this year. He brings with him many years of science fair experience.
The student participants were interviewed by a judge via Google Meet. The judges are members of the local community with careers in the science, technology, and engineering fields.
Projects judged best from North Coventry grades 4, 5, and 6 will be entered in the Chester County Science Fair to be held on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 (grade 6) or Wednesday, March 9th (grades 4 & 5).
In addition, sixth grade participants judged best at the Chester Country fair will be eligible to compete in the Delaware Valley Science Fair on April 6, 2022 with hopes of making it to the Broadcom Masters Science Competition during the summer of 2022.
There are many reasons why participation in the science fair is a valuable experience. Science fair projects allow students to practice scientific thinking and problem-solving, improvise when a procedure doesn’t work out as predicted, present their findings to others, and sharpen their communication skills.
The following students will proudly represent North Coventry Elementary at the
Chester County Science Research Competitions:
Aurora Pickell - Grade 6
Lilah Wilkes - Grade 6
Areyla Randolph - Grade 5
Dylan Yannick - Grade 5
Kira Bartollini - Grade 5
Norah Dantica - Grade 5

Congratulations Science Fair Competitors!
