Valuables at School
Administration reserves the right to determine inappropriate use of any items brought from home, as well as electronic devices, and students may have these items confiscated and/or receive disciplinary consequences if they are used inappropriately. The school district will not be responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property. These items may include phones, hand held game devices, Apple Watch or items that are like that, and/or Nintendo switch. The items will be brought to the office where the parent will be contacted by the teacher or office and the parent will then have to come pick up the item.
This information is in our Elementary Handbook 2020-21 - Disclaimer of Responsibility: Valuables at School, page 12.
Winter Reminders
Please also remind your children that they are NOT to pick up snow or ice at school, during recess, or at bus stops. Snowball fights are fun when at home with a few close friends or family, but at school, at the bus stop, during recess, etc., throwing snow often results in someone getting hurt. We appreciate your help in supporting us in our efforts to keep everyone safe by having this conversation with your children. Thanks so much.

COVID-19 Notification
In order for us to provide a healthy and safe environment for all students, it is important that you continue to communicate with the district if/when the following happens:
- Your child is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or tests positive.
- Your child has been directly exposed to a person that has tested positive for COVID-19 and is identified as a direct contact. They will need to quarantine at home.
We will continue to be diligent with our communication,l contact tracing, and notifications when these instances occur.
We appreciate your assistance with this matter.
When should I keep my child home?
In order to do your part in preventing the spread of germs, it is imperative that we are frequently doing symptom checks of our children at home. If your child is displaying any of the following symptoms, please keep them home and inform our front office. We will work to ensure that your child stays up to date with assignments and the teaching taking place in the classroom:
- A fever of 100.4 degrees or higher. This is one of the strongest Covid Symptoms
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
- Persistent cough or runny nose
- Loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
We need you to assist in helping us, by monitoring for these symptoms on a daily basis, and keeping your child home if they aren't feeling well.
