- What is unique about author one’s approach vs. author two’s approach? The Author's first approach was mostly facts instead of opinions
- What data does the first author include to support her claim? She is showing how some of the students act when they are in Common Core.
- What data does the second author include to support her claim? She puts in some data and opinions.
- How do the tones differ? The first article is very frank and the second article is very formal.

- What data does the first author include to support her claim? He/She shows the polls that the teachers and parents think.
- What data does the second author include to support her claim? He/She describes it by using describing words.
- How do the tones differ? They show what each other thinks about one point of view to another.
