Hello, Hollymead families and caregivers!
We hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather! Thank you to everyone who came out to our movie night on Friday. We loved finally being able to get together (safely!) and enjoy some time with the broader Hollymead community. We hope to be able to do one or two more COVID-conscious events before the end of the year, so stay tuned!
Speaking of upcoming events, we hope that everyone can join us for our next PTO Meeting, which will take place on November 3rd at 7:30PM. During this meeting we will be discussing important initiatives such as community-building events, fundraising opportunities, and how we can use PTO funds and resources to best serve the Hollymead community. All meetings will be on Zoom for the rest of the calendar year, so please feel free to join us virtually and help us brainstorm upcoming PTO activities! The deadline is fast-approaching to feed Boxy with your physical box tops! All physical box tops with a November 1st expiration date must be sent to the school by Thursday, October 28th so that they can be packaged and sent to Box Tops for Education by the due date. As a reminder, most Box Tops-participating items have transitioned to the receipt-scanning system (more info here). However, a small list of items still requires physical clipping and mailing (see full list of participating items here). If you have clip-only items at home, please clip the Box Tops code and send them into school for collection.

Cool mornings and hot afternoons bring an increase in lost and found items. Take a look to see if you recognize anything. In an effort to reduce foot traffic at the school, please encourage your child to retrieve items themselves.
The PTO is happy to announce a Holiday Dance Club with Ms. Katie open for 2nd through 5th grade. This Holiday Outdoor Dance Club will start November 3 and run through December 10. Weather permitting, we are hoping to end the dance club with a holiday themed showcase. In order to register your child, complete this Google Form and click "send". Please read the details below carefully before registering.
Holiday Dance Club
Wednesday - 4th & 5th graders (9 & 10 yr. old’s)
Dates: November 3, 12, 17, and December 1, 10 (please not that on half days the club will run on Fridays)
Time: 2:35pm - 4pm (students will be dismissed to Dance Club directly after school - parents, pls send in a change of dismissal for first week)
Cost: $60
Holiday Dance Club 'Juniors'
Thursday - 2nd & 3rd graders (7 & 8 yr. old’s)
Dates: November 4, 11, 18 and December 2, 9
Time: 2:35pm - 4pm (students will be dismissed to Dance Club directly after school - parents, pls send in a change of dismissal for first week)

Outdoor Movie Night Success
Outdoor movie night was a huge success! A big thanks to Rega Jabar (parent of a 1st grader), Josh Hight (parent of a 5th and 3rd grader), and everyone who helped make this event possible.
The Hollymead Directory is coming! The Directory is free to all families and caregivers, and is the best way for us all to share contact information for play dates and get-togethers. There are two ways you can help support the Directory:
- Please make sure that your contact info is up-to-date in PowerSchool and that you have checked "YES" to the Directory when you verify your student's information.
- If you are or someone you know is interested in purchasing ad space in the Directory this year, please email HollymeadDirectory@gmail.com for more information.
The Hollymead PTO Board is a fun group of family members who gather monthly to plan exciting activities for students and ways to support teachers and staff. Can you join us?

Non-Board Volunteer Opportunities:
While most positions are a 2 year commitment, you have a co-chair to assist you. Non-Board Volunteers are not required to attend the monthly meetings and are only active during limited times of the year.
