Punic Wars

What is the Punic Wars?
The Punic Wars were during 264 BC when Rome was beginning its expanse across the mediterranean sea but a rival country stood in its way Carthage. You probably now the legendarie Romans that ruled the one of the largest empires in all of history but Rome was not always the strong empire it was it used to be only Italy. Rome wanted to expand quickly but the empire of Carthage build its empire on mediterranean sea with an navy unmatched by any other. But that didn't stop the Romans and with the Sound of the Roman horn began the first punic War.
Three Great Wars
Carthage and Rome fought three times and these are called the Punic Wars. In history the Carthage empire last all 3 wars the first war the Romans Captured the islands in the mediterranean sea and proved the Rome's military is stronger than the mercenary army of Carthage. The second is wear the Carthaginians were cased out of spain and parts of africa but they sent an army into the homeland of Rome they took the rout over the mountains with elephants. How wired that must have looked. The final war was just the Romans finishing of them by the sacking of the city of carthage.
