What We Are Learning-
IB-Our next unit is “Sharing the Planet” which is an inquiry into rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resources with other people and other living things; communities and the relationship within and between them; access to equal opportunities; peace and conflict resolution.
Math-Module 6 lays the conceptual foundation for multiplication and division in Grade 3 and for the idea that numbers other than 1, 10, and 100 can serve as units. Topics in this module include: Formation of Equal Groups, Arrays and Equal Groups, Rectangular Arrays as a Foundation for Multiplication and Division, and The Meaning of Even and Odd Numbers.
Reading-Our reading skills this month will be using text and graphic features, main idea and details, and understanding characters.
Science/Social Studies- We will be focusing on interdependence between people, plants, and animals.
