A Message from the Principal
Dear Sheridan Families,
This quick week went by in a FLASH… but we were so grateful for the opportunity to pause, reflect, and pay tribute to those in our Sheridan community who have served our country. See below for a link to the Veteran’s Day presentation. We are also seeing our Thanksgiving turkey fill up with “feathers” of gratitude. It’s an amazing compilation of what is important to our students and so heartwarming. Speaking of warmth… it looks like cooler temperatures are finally here to stay. Just a reminder to send your children prepared for outside wellness and recess, and LABEL EVERYTHING. Our lost and found could use a few more finders; you are welcome to pop in to reclaim your child’s items. There are quite a few jackets, sweatshirts, and hats already, so come take a look!

Let’s Talk…Behavior with the K-4 Principals:
Thank you to all who viewed our presentation on Wednesday evening. If you couldn’t make it, please feel free to watch HERE. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any additional questions!
From Your Librarian:
Did you know Secretary of State, Jesse White, is also our State's Librarian? “Reading as a family creates a positive learning environment and helps children develop language skills, comprehension and a love for reading that can last a lifetime,” White says. He welcomes families to cozy up and read together Thursday, November 17 to celebrate our State's Annual Family Reading Night. This year's theme is "Read Beyond the Beaten Path". Be sure to post a pic of your family reading together via Twitter -and tag @SHlightbulblab, @LakeForestSD67! Happy Reading!
Enjoy the day off and we’ll see everyone back on Monday!
Sincerely,
Susan
