Go Fourth!
News & tidbits from the 4th grade class at HRRS.

The picture above shows our class at the all-school assembly, praying the rosary together. Don't forget, tomorrow is Pay-to-Dress, so if you want your student to participate, send the $2.00 in to help support our orphans.
Our first class field trip is in the planning stages; as soon as I have any concrete information, I will let you know. I will be needing a few parents to help with driving/chaperoning. Please be aware that you will need to have taken the Virtus Training to participate in that capacity.
Speaking of volunteers, I am looking for someone who might be interested in helping out as our Classroom Manager (or room mom). It shouldn't be an overly taxing job, but will include duties such as helping plan and prepare for classroom parties, networking with other parents to help with tasks like preparing art projects, grading papers, cutting out laminated shapes, etc. Please contact me if you have are interested in helping out in this way.
The weather is getting colder, please send your child with appropriate warm clothing as it is no fun to be out at recess feeling cold. Brrrrr.
Highlights of our academic week:
Math ~ we are currently learning estimating and rounding, as well as working on our speed and accuracy in our basic math facts
Social Studies ~ we are working on Washington State maps in small groups
Art ~ our Pop Word Art Project is winding down
It is later than I planned it to be (the first draft of this newsletter disappeared into cyberspace). 😟 Goodnight,
Mrs. Marthie Ramos
