Highlights from the Greenwich Township School District Board of Education Reorganization/Regular Meeting January 3, 2023


Swearing in and Oath of Office was completed of the newly re-elected Board members:

Mrs. Roseanne Lombardo, Mrs. Fiona Paterna, and Mrs. Susan Vernacchio

Nominations for President and Vice-President were held.

President: Mrs. Susan Vernacchio

Vice-President: Mrs. Erin Herzberg

The Code of Ethics was presented by Mr. Scott A. Campbell, School Business Administrator/Board Secretary

Open Public Meetings Act - Establish Meeting Dates, Time and Place

Adopted Roberts Rules of Order as the official parliamentary procedure to conduct meetings and appoint the Board Secretary and Board Attorney for the 2023-2024 school year.

Annual appointments and resolutions were approved.

Regular Board of Education:

D. Use of accrued personal days: Kathy Seacrist; Tina Sayers

F. Committee to select New Reading Series, at a stipend of $35.00 per hour, maximum of five hours per teacher, as per GTEA agreement, pending completion of negotiations: Kiley Barker, Melissa Mortimer

G. New after school club for the 2022-2023 school year, Gifted & Talented, advisor Lauren Ernst, stipend of $900.00 for the year, prorated, as per GTEA agreement and GTSD policies, pending completion of negotiations

H. Accepted the Fall 2022 Start Strong District Data

I. After School Special Professional Development Program, including one hour targeted professional development seminars. Attending, employed, certificated teaching staff will be paid at the contractual rate for one hour of attendance, not to exceed two hours per month, per certificated teaching staff member

2. Curriculum & Instruction
A. Professional Development:

1. Stacy Podolski - PESI Kids, two workshops, 2/3/23 and 2/10/23, $440.00 plus mileage

2. Alisa Whitcraft - NJPSA - both Zoom - two workshops, 2/16/23 and 3/10/23, $175.00

3. Budget & Finance

A. Retroactive approval of Addendum to Contract for the 2022-2023 school year from ESS, due to increase of NJ minimum wage effective January 1, 2023.
B. Retroactive approval of tuition contract with Burlington County Special Services School District.

4. Report of the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary- Approved

A. Bills Lists with payroll

C. Student Activities Account statements October and November 2022

5. Old Business -

A. Coordinating with Terry Lewis, School Boards Association on planning and goals

B. Update on monies received from the PILOT Program
