We Celebrate Natalie Andrews and pray for her family
I had the great pleasure of meeting Mrs. Andrews thirty-eight years ago. Mrs. Andrews was my PE teacher when I attended St. Mary School as a child as well as my gymnastics instructor. Those of you who attended St. Mary in the 80's may remember the all famous game of "Steal the Bacon" we would play in the parish hall during gym class. I can remember her always having her whistle in her mouth just in case one of us would leave the line early to try to "Steal That Bacon!"
Mrs. Andrews was always a fixture at St. Mary School and Parish when I was a child. She always had a smile on her face, spoke to everyone she passed and always had the most positive outlook.
Nine years ago I was again graced with the daily presence of Ms. Natalie, as she was known by all of our child care friends. She was the exact same as I remembered when I was a child. Full of energy, always moving and caring for everyone around her. Her voice and smile were so familiar. She always was the Light of Christ and brought joy to all she encountered.
As many of you know, Ms. Natalie passed away Tuesday morning. Below are the arrangements:
Sunday, September 26
Visitation 2:00 to 4:00 PM, 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Rosary at 7:30 PM
All at Kilgo Funeral Home, Charlotte
Monday, September 27
Visitation at St. Mary starting at 10:00 AM
Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM
Burial to follow at Walton Cemetery
As a sign of love and respect for Natalie and her long history with St. Mary School, the School and Child Care will be closed on Monday, September 27, in order that staff and faculty (as well as children accompanied by parents) may attend the funeral Mass.
Well done, good and faithful servant. May you rest in peace in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

Illness Policy
We still need all parents to screen their child(ren) before they get on the bus or leave for school. Please ensure that your child(ren) do not have a temperature or have any signs of illness, Flu or COVID-19. We are no longer taking temperatures at the door so we need all parents to ensure your children have no symptoms before leaving home.
If your child is home or sent home due to an illness, they must stay home until they are symptom/fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. Any child home due to COVID-19 must follow the Barry/Eaton County Health Departments guidance before returning to school.
Everyone was so wonderful at this last year, it really saved us from having groups of children contracting any illness almost the entire year last year. Thank you for continuing this much needed protocol.
