New to Washington
If your child is in JK, SK or 1st grade, they will have the opportunity to experience our new Motor Lab. Students will engage in a circuit of various activities that involve gross and fine motor skills. These activities are designed to promote the integration of reflexes, build strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and body awareness in fun and challenging ways. The goal is to facilitate the development of foundational motor skills that students need for academics and school activities. More information will be provided after school begins. If you have questions at this time, please contact Beth Kimmel, Integration Design Support Teacher (kimmelbe@wauwatosa.k12.wi.us) or Mary McElwee, Occupational Therapist (mcelwema@wauwatosa.k12.wi.us).
