Safety First

Thank you for your patience as we began using the new entry system on the front door. If you have not yet been to the school, but are planning to, please be sure to bring your valid ID with you. The front door is locked during school hours and ID is required for entry. All persons in your party must have an ID. If another parent is walking behind you to the door, please do not hold it open for them. We must identify all parents who want to enter the building.

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month

April 8-12 is Volunteer Appreciation Week here at Trafalgar.

We couldn't do what we do without volunteers. Your help in our classrooms, in the Media Center and at events is greatly appreciated. There are many ways to volunteer for us- 1 mile races, Field Day, assisting with AR testing, Media Center, setting up projects and homework packets for teachers, working in centers, and so much more.

Thank you for all you do to support Trafalgar Elementary!

Caught Reading

Thank you to those who have already “caught” and sent a picture of your child reading outside of school! We love seeing their pictures and your children love seeing themselves and their friends on the ‘Caught Reading’ board. It is very exciting for them to see their picture or a picture of their friend! I know many students are still looking forward to seeing their pictures displayed. If you didn’t get a chance yet, please send in a picture to be displayed for our last board. It’s very easy, just snap a picture of your child reading outside of school. It could be at the park, at the beach, at the pool, or just relaxing at home. Email your picture to Please also include your child’s name, grade, and class. Your child’s picture will be featured on our “Caught Reading” display board at the entrance of our school and during the morning news. To make it onto the board this year, please send your picture by April 22nd. We appreciate your encouragement to foster a life-long love of reading!
