A Message from the Principal
Hello Families,
It was so great to welcome our families back into Weiss for Innovation Night this past week for the first time since 2019! This event is a great opportunity for the community to see some of the STEM learning happening in each classroom throughout the year! Our students loved sharing their learning and creations with everyone that was in attendance! Feel free to check out a few of the pictures that were taken at Innovation Night further down this newsletter.
Also, this month we are focusing on the word Integrity. We have been explaining at Weiss that integrity is when we do the right thing even when it's hard or when no one is looking. Please take a moment to share with your children how they can show integrity every day and whenever you see someone showing integrity, make sure to highlight that in front of your child(ren). These conversations and acknowledgments of integrity can go a long way to helping our communty become a better place!
Sincerely,
Mr. Bezeau

Spring concert Letter From Mrs. Monticello
This letter is to remind you about our upcoming highly anticipated Spring Concert! Students have been working very hard in music class to prepare a wonderful program for you, and we are so excited to show off our musical skills! Weiss’s concert will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 6 p.m. in the Carlson High School Auditorium. I am asking that students be at the high school in their assigned locations by 5:45 p.m. Each grade will have a classroom to which they will report and check in with their teacher—they will wait in this room until it is their turn to perform. (Room numbers and maps will be posted at the high school). They will return there and they can be picked up from this classroom after their performance.
A few more notes about the concert:
Students may wish to dress in nice clothes for this performance, but I do believe that each student’s participation is more important than what they are wearing. We have practiced very hard for this concert, and they all deserve their moment to shine!
For your child’s safety, no student will be released from the auditorium. Students will only be released from their assigned classrooms following their performance. This policy will be strictly enforced.
If there are reasons your child will not be attending this concert, please let me know ahead of time by a note or email (see address below). As performance is part of the grading process in music (it is listed for each grade as a curriculum benchmark by both the State and National Music Education guidelines) I really hope all students will be able to attend. If there are any concerns, please contact me.
Thank you so much for the interest you take in your children’s music education! We can’t wait to share our program with you!
Sincerely,
