March Madness in Kindergarten
Miss Turner's Star Student:
This month's star student in Geovanie! Geovanie has been working really hard to meet her goals in reading. When she had a hard time with some spelling and sight words she kept practicing and had a good attitude. She also makes helpful choices and tries to help her classmates do the same. Awesome job Geovanie!
Ms. Davis's Star Student:
My student of the month is James Johnson. He knows all his letter sounds and many, many sight words. He can count and write to 100. He is developing skills to become an amazing team leader during learning stations. He is a hard worker. Thanks James!!!
Ms. Cowling's Star Student

What We're Learning
Math: This month we will continue to explore patterns and also begin to work on sorting. As always, we will keep practicing on going skills such as counting to 100 by 1's and 10's, saying the days of the week, writing our numbers, and more!
Language Arts: We will continue to focus on mastering letter sounds and for those who have mastered their letter sounds we have moved on to sight words. Sight words are common words we memorize to help us with our reading!
Science/Social Studies: We will be exploring nature and weather patterns in science this month. We will also begin learning about location and transportation in different communities in social studies.
