Accelerating the Legacy Heritage Event- Joint Base Charleston
Legacy Heritage Event- Feb 19, 2022
The purpose of this event is to conduct character-based youth aviation programs that draw on the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. The focus is STEM; airfield operations and college and careers.
For Participation in the Event:
- THIS is a NO COST event for participants
- Students ages 10- 19 yr. old are invited to attend with student ID (if applicable)
- On line registration and waiver MUST BE COMPLETE for students to participate
- Pick up & Drop off location is Palmetto Scholars Academy (PSA) parking lot, 7499 Dorchester Rd. N. Chas., SC 29418. Students will be transported to JB Charleston for the event. Drop off begins at 8:00am and all attendees must be present NLT 8:30am. Event concludes at 4:00pm and pick up will begin at approximately 4:15pm. All students must be picked up from the PSA parking lot before 5:00pm.
- COVID precautions in line with the CDC guidance https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html will be adhered to at all times.
- Each participant will receive a complimentary t-shirt, lunch, and gift bag. If your student has special dietary needs, please have them bring a bag lunch.

Charleston Women in International Trade (CWIT) organization is awarding $5,000 in scholarships this year for students at a 4 year degree and 2 year degree institutions.
