Classroom News from Mrs. Johnson

Anchor book for the week:

Elephants are gray, pigs are pink, but what color is the chameleon? In Leo Lionni's A Color of His Own, the chameleon desperately wants a color of his own. But he soon begins to understand that companionship is more important than having his own color.

What's happening this week???

This week we will:

  • Create chameleon's in the art center.
  • Identify and sort colors.
  • Go on a color hunt.
  • Create bubble art (weather permitting).

Firefighter Visit

Thank you to the Lee's Summit Fire Department for visiting us last week. We learned a lot about fire safety. Please make sure you and your family have a fire safety plan for your home. Practice what you would do if there was a fire at your house; including how you would get out and a safe meeting place that is away from the fire. Be Safe!
