WELCOME NEW STYLIST
To Team Perkadots- Meet your Stella & Dot family...
We couldn't be more excited to welcome you!
Stella & Dot was created by Jessica Herrin & Blythe Harris, two bold, joyful women that sought to help all women style their lives as they see fit.... and while you are in business for yourself you are not BY yourself. We work together as a team to help make everyone stronger. As Jessica Herrin shares, "Your new stylist investment would not even be enough for a mannequin in a cute boutique". You are so much smarter, as you just invested in a growing, soon-to-be-billion-dollar business. While our press is huge, we are tiny compared to the size we will be because of smart stylists and irresistible product.
By now you have signed up, named your website, and probably have a long wish list of must have accessories. Our goal is to help you stay on course, make money (not spend money) and work towards your goals and define your success. Make sure to take a look at the check list to follow and work with your sponsor/upline to help you get started. We are so excited to be your business partners! We ask that you really put yourself ALL IN and give this little company your best try. The beauty is that you can date us, and that you don't have to marry us, but starting off strong leads to HUGE successes early on! You might just find you are onto something really big!
So, let's start by meeting your upline leaders! Below you will find a few leaders of The Perkadots. We are just one part of a larger team, The Belles & Bling (lead by Alex Woolverton, Senior Director) and Dixiedots (led by Anna Muir, Star Director) which reports directly to home office. Please feel free to reach out and connect with anything you need.
And be sure you check out important literature piece #2, your QuickStart guide- 2 pages to really start yo off strong! http://com.stelladot.stylists.s3.amazonaws.com/SDU/Stella&DotQuickStartGuide.pdf
We're all raising a glass to you and toasting your future success!

we get things done- here are our top tips!
2. Make a written "Who do you know list" and keep it with you at all times.
3. Schedule a weekly 10-15 minute call with your upline and Naomi.
4. Build a pacing partner relationship with 1 or 2 other new stylists.
5. Update your business tools- business cards, social media, email signature.
6. Send out an "I'm Opening/Grand Opening/Update email- you are the door that says
"Open".
7. Self teach at Stella & Dot University on Stylist Lounge. Navigate Stylist Lounge.
8. Visit Stylist Lounge Daily for latest Updates (5 Minutes).
9. Visit our team page daily. Post, share, respond, and be active. This is your board room. Use it. That's what it's for!
10. Go to local Stella & Dot Meet & Greets, New Stylist Trainings and Team Meetings.
11. Participate in our New Stylist Training calls when offered.
12. Participate on training calls from Home Office.
13. Participate in Tips from the Top Call on Tuesdays, home office hosted.
14. Understand the compensation program along with policies & procedures manuals.
15. Do you have an iPad? Download the S&D App, "Dottie", in Stylist Lounge as your personal assistant. Other favorites- Redstamp (also available on your PC), Check Out Helper, Catch, Crosscheck, Vine, Instagram and Instaframe.
16. Smile and have fun spreading style while you wear adorable accessories- every single day!
you're open for business
How many pieces do I need? A successful trunk show can have 7 pieces or 70 pieces. When you have fewer items your excitement and our beautiful look book are your best tools. Plus, our iPad app is incredible as well! A must-have for every stylist!
What to take to a show? You, your smile, jewelry with basic display pieces including a white table cloth, mirror or two, alcohol swabs to clean earring posts before sharing, pens, calculator & camera on your phone, order forms, iPad, and labeled brochures. The best displays are your hostess and guests. Get them wearing jewelry. You can also use our adorable boxes in your display to highlight a few pieces plus frame some of our marketing materials to make your display seem larger. Think clean and simple.
Business Cards- Check out the links in Stylist Lounge under Your Business and Marketing. StellaDotPrintShop and Vistaprint have great options. Hot Tip- No need for address field so use that space for other wording such as "Host a Show, Earn Free Accessories!" or "We're Growing! Ask me about the Stylist Opportunity!" Or, skip business cards and get yourself more mini lookbooks. After all, a small booklet of our amazing accessories show more than a business card- just be sure you label it with your info!
LABEL EVERYTHING with your Personal Website (PWS). EVERYTHING!
Update your email signatures and social media accounts to show that you are open for business. You can make it yourself too in the lounge under marketing materials!
Create a "Who Do You Know List" and include everyone. Everyone. EVERYONE. They are all going to fit into your business as a Stylist, Hostess, Client, or Referral Partner.
Stella & Dot University- Self teach and master the "Words to Say" while making them your own.
Stylist Guide To Success- Open up this magazine and use it. It will be your S&D bible. What a beautiful business plan!
Send out an "I'm OPEN" email to everyone you know. Spread your excitement!

best use of 2-5 hours a week for your business
Sometimes we FEEL like we spend a lot of time on our business because
we're "thinking" about it all the time. Less thinking, more doing. Less thinking, MORE DOING. We ALL have the same 24 hours in a day and choose how to spend our time. My hope is that for all Brand Ambassadors and Hobbyists, this 2-5 hr a week breakdown will be helpful in your time management. Please reach out to Naomi (me!) at anytime to set up a coaching call- I'm happy to help create a specific plan for you to help you reach YOUR goals.
Here's the breakdown>>
***If you have NO trunk shows on your calendar that week***:
1. Watch the Buzz every Tuesday (5 mins)
2. Listen to "Tips from the Top" training call every Tues at 10a pacific
(calls are archived each week in SDU- listen to recording Tues night/Wed am if you can't make live, but listen EVERY week- #1 training call of week) (30 mins)
3. 1 hour Booking Blitz (with a pacing partner, your sponsor, upline, regional blitz, your imaginary friend) This is 1 hour of DEDICATED time to reach out to 20 people about booking EVERY week- once you have regular trunk shows, you can sharpen the skill of booking at shows and not have to blitz anymore, but UNTIL your calendar is where you want it, it's VITAL to spend 1 HOUR A WEEK on focused booking. Follow 3 steps of booking in "Stylist Guide to Success" magazine. If you struggle to book 1 in 10, send me a private message I promise we can fix it with a coaching call. (30 minute warm up, 60 minute blitz= 90 mins)
TOTAL TIME>> 2 hrs a week. Focus is training & booking.

4. Trunk Show (3 hours total. 90 min to 2 hour show, drive time & entering orders) Focus on booking trunk shows AT trunk shows and soon you can eliminate the need to spend 1 hour a week on booking as you'll maximize your $$'s per hour by doing it AT the show. You can then spend that 1 hour a week on sponsoring if you choose to layer your income.
TOTAL TIME>> 5 hrs a week. Focus is STILL training & booking.
-----------------------------------------------------------
There are also Conference Calls with Home Office on Booking each week- I highly recommend attending 1 a week until you get your calendar where you want it. Then, even when your calendar is super full, the Tips from the Top call will still help you IMMENSELY when you listen each week. I NEVER miss a call. NEVER.
OTHER TOP TIPS (1 hour)
1. Listen to Danielle's "Words to Say" CD over & over in your car while driving to & from work, school, trunk shows, etc.
2. Review pages 24-34 in the "Stylist Guide to Success" Magazine on booking. (30 min)
3. Review the "Monthly Success Plan" & "Words to Say" for the current month (30 min)
RECORDED CONFERENCE CALLS ON BOOKING>>> (20-30 mins each)
